Cogent and the National Skills Academy Process Industries, has today launched Skillsstore.com, an online tool that helps companies locate quality assured training for the sector, delivered by a national network of accredited providers.

As part of the launch, Skillsstore.com is offering a free manual handling e-learning module that will help companies on to the right path to close their skills gaps.

Skillsstore.com is also linked to an online performance benchmarking tool that helps SMEs place skills in the context of improved business performance. The output is a simple diagnostic that identifies how businesses can improve performance through investment in skills, in areas such as technical competence, compliance, business improvement and functional & behavioural.

Individuals can then go on to the Skillsstore.com website to use its simple search facility to find and buy the training that meets their needs.

All of the courses on Skillsstore.com have been developed to the Gold Standard; a competency framework that maps the skills required for job roles in the science industries.
