IET: Europe’s biggest engineering society welcomes £1m engineering prize

The Institution of Engineering & Technology (IET) welcomes today’s opening of nominations on the Queen Elizabeth Prize for Engineering. The engineering award, the world’s largest at £1million, invites nominations from all over the world, celebrating the greatest engineering feats that benefit humankind.

Nigel Fine, IET CEO, said: “An award such as the Queen Elizabeth Prize for Engineering is a very important way of acknowledging and rewarding those who have created real outstanding benefits to humankind.
