Initial response to the chancellor’s autumn statement
Responding to the Chancellor of the Exchequer’s Autumn Statement, Chris Keates, General Secretary of the NASUWT, the largest teachers’ Union in the UK, said:
“We have heard it all before about guaranteeing to protect the schools budget.
“As ever the devil will be in the detail.
“This usually reveals a huge gap between the Chancellor’s rhetoric and the reality on the ground.”
