Break a clay for women’s day
Women are being invited to spend International Women's Day networking and clay shooting at an event run by the British Association for Shooting and Conservation (BASC).
The event will be held at Doveridge Clay Sports Club, Derbyshire, on 6th March.
Talks will be given by Victoria Knowles-Lacks, founder of the ladies-only Shotgun and Chelsea Bun Club, and local businesswoman Rachel Morgan.
BASC’s Geri Buckley, who is the British 25m Sport Pistol record holder, has put together a presentation on her journey from BASC Young Shot to champion which will be shown to the women who attend.
There will also be a game curry lunch by Rayeesa’s Indian Kitchen.
Sue Ecroyd from BASC England Central region said: "Whether you have never held a shotgun before or you regularly visit the clay line, everyone is welcome. We will have coaches on hand to cater for all levels from novices to experienced shooters.”
Places cost £60 for BASC, Shotgun and Chelsea Bun Club and Chamber of Commerce members and £75 for non-members. The price includes all coaching, lunch, cartridges, clays, gun hire and safety equipment. It also includes a goody bag containing a pair of tickets to the Gamekeepers’ Fair 2015. There will also be a free entry raffle.
