Top Gun Geri joins BASC

International pistol shooter Geri Buckley has joined the Northern regional team of the country’s largest shooting organisation, the British Association for Shooting and Conservation (BASC).  She takes up the position of North East regional officer on 10th November and will be based in East Yorkshire.

Geri is the British record holder in the 25m Sport Pistol final.  She is currently ranked British Senior Number 1 in the International Shooting Sports Federation world ranking.  She is also a keen game shot and rough shooter, who accompanied her father wildfowling from an early age. She was captain of her university rifle club.

Born and bred in Yorkshire, Geri joins BASC from her previous role as a membership development executive.  Before that she was a management trainee with an international retailer.

BASC England’s Northern regional director, Alasdair Mitchell, said: “Geri will be a real asset to our team, helping us to engage with the large and increasing number of members BASC has in Yorkshire and the North East.”

Geri Buckley said: “As a lifelong shooter, I am delighted to be able to work for the good of shooting in my home area with an organisation which is experiencing record growth.”
