NUT Cyrmru Congratulates Students and Teachers
Commenting on today’s examination results, NUT Wales Secretary David Evans said:-
“The NUT congratulates the thousands of students in Wales who have received their A Level results today. A 97.6% success rate is a fantastic achievement across Wales and fully reflects the significant work and endeavour of pupils, teachers, support staff and input from family members in assuring that goals and aspirations are met.
“We should not forget that such achievements are being secured despite constant changes to the education system, constant reviews, budgetary cuts and ever increasing demands and bureaucratic hurdles being in place.
“Pupils want to learn and teachers want to teach and the best way of permitting that is by listening to the voice of the profession so that the education provision in Wales can continue to flourish and improve.
“We are also pleased to note the Welsh Baccalaureate and AS Level results today. We should all be proud of what is being achieved across the country and celebrate each and every success.”
