Cogent: Are you the special Polymer Apprentice we’re looking for?

The Worshipful Company of Horners and Cogent Gold Standard Polymer Apprentice of the year is a prestigious award to recognise the commitment and drive of young apprentices in the Polymer industry.

The award can really support a young apprentice in their development and give them some much needed confidence.

Amy Keenan, won last year's award, she said:

"It was an honour to have won the Worshipful Company of Horners and Cogent Gold Standard Polymer Apprentice of the Year Award, the recognition from my colleagues has given me confidence in my work environment and made me proud of my achievements so far so I would definitely recommend this to others in an apprenticeship scheme."

Kenneth Mcintosh, President of the Scottish and Plastics Rubber Association nominated Amy to be last year's winner, he added:

"Where training is concerned it is very Important to give reward and recognition to outstanding individuals within our industry, to be recognised by both Cogent who is the top skills body in the plastic sector and the worshipful Horner's who are the most recognised and ancient guild in our craft.”

Are you an apprentice or do you work with an apprentice who you think deserves recognition for performing beyond the job, demonstrating extra commitment both within and outside the workplace?

We are currently looking for nominations from apprentices and employers to receive this special award. All submissions must be received by Monday 4 November 2013 with the winner announced in the press in late December 2013 and the Award being presented at a ceremony in the City of London in February 2014.
