Victoria Atkins

Biography:

Victoria Atkins was elected as a Conservative MP for Louth & Horncastle on May 7th 2015 with 25755 votes, taking 51.2% of the vote.

In 2012 Victoria stood unsuccessfully in the Police and Crime Commissioner elections for Gloucestershire Constabulary. Victoria was selected as candidate for the 2015 UK general election over three others as the Conservative candidate, at a meeting of around 200 local party members in Spilsby. Before election as an MP, Atkins worked as a barrister in the field of fraud.

Victoria is the daughter of Sir Robert Atkins, the former Conservative MP and MEP. Former PM John Major has stated that she has known her “since she was born”.
