Sheryll Murray

Biography:

Sheryll Murray was elected as Conservative MP for South East Cornwall on May 7th 2015 with 25516 votes, taking 50.5% of the vote.

Sheryll was born in the village of Millbrook, South East Cornwall where she went to school before continuing her secondary education at nearby Torpoint Comprehensive School.

Sheryll was a member of the Governing Body of the school for the past 9 years, retiring in February this year.

Sheryll represented Rame on Cornwall County Council and represented her village on Caradon District Council until it was abolished in April 2009. She was the Leader of the Conservative Group from 2003 to 2007.

Before becoming involved in local Government, Sheryll experienced National and European Governance when she was a representative of the Fishing Industry.

Sheryll lives in the village and worked in Primary Health Care. She is married to local Trawler Owner/Skipper Neil and they have two grown up children.
