Biography:
Robert Jenrick was re-elected MP for Newark on May 7th 2015 with 29834 votes, taking 57.0% of the vote.
Robert was first elected MP in 2014 at the by-election held that year, and has worked ever since in Parliament, first as a Parliamentary Private Secretary (or Ministerial aide) in the Department for Energy and Climate Change and from February 2015 in the Department for Work and Pensions as Parliamentary Private Secretary to the Employment Minister, Rt Hon Esther McVey MP.
Born in 1982, Robert read History as St John’s College at Cambridge University and then spent a year in the USA studying Political Science at the University of Pennsylvania, following which he studied Law as a postgraduate at the College of Law and BBP Law School.
