Margaret Greenwood

Biography:

Margaret Greenwood was elected MP for Wirral West on May 7th 2015 with 18898 votes, taking 45.1% of the vote.

An active member of the community, Margaret has campaigned on environmental issues relating to both the natural and built environment over many years, and has been actively involved with the local community fighting the Coalition government’s privatisation of the NHS since 2010.

Prior to her public commitment, Margaret was an English teacher who taught in secondary schools, FE colleges and adult education centres in Wirral and Liverpool. She has taught literacy to adult learners and worked with adults with special needs. She has also worked as a travel writer.
