Biography:
Jo Stevens was elected MP for Cardiff Central on May 7th 2015 with 15462 votes, taking 40.0% of the vote.
Jo has been a member of the Labour Party and an activist for the last 30 years. She is also a member of the GMB and Unison unions, of the Fabian and Haldane Societies and the Cooperative Party.
Actively involved in the NGO Justice for Colombia, she fights in favour of seen the human rights, in particular of convidted for political reasons, respected in that country.
Jo studied at the University of Manchester and prior to her election she worked at Thompsons Solicitors.
