PCS: UNITED WE STAND – general secretaries of PCS and Unite to sign landmark agreement

The general secretaries of Unite and PCS will sign a landmark agreement tomorrow ( Friday, 20 May) to work together to fight the vicious and unnecessary cuts being imposed by government.

PCS general secretary, Mark Serwotka and Unite general secretary, Len McCluskey will sign the agreement at the PCS annual conference in Brighton tomorrow (Friday, 20 May).

The accord commits PCS and Unite to establishing a liaison group to promote and coordinate a joint campaign against the coalition government’s cuts.

The accord reflects that PCS and Unite have a shared vision and intend to stand united to fight the government’s ruthless cuts and campaign for an alternative vision – supporting a sustainable economy, a fairer society, investing in public services and manufacturing, fair taxation and collective trade union rights.
