BSIA: Manchester Security 2007 hailed a huge success

The Manchester Security 2007 exhibition and seminar event has been hailed as a huge success by organisers the British Security Industry Association and Greater Manchester Police.

The event, which attracted over 300 visitors, was sponsored by Shredeasy – a leading confidential data destruction company based in Manchester – and was themed around ‘Business Continuity – Whatever the Disruption’. Presentations were given on a number of topics related to protecting organisations and communities in the event of emergencies and disasters such as terrorist attacks or pandemics.

BSIA Events Manager, Elaine Hercombe, comments: “This event provided a vital insight for Manchester businesses into the need to protect their company from potential threats. The seminars showcased industry experts offering expertise on issues such as identity theft and proved to be extremely popular with visitors.”

Stuart Pizzey MBE of Greater Manchester Police, says: “Businesses need to be aware of the importance of securing their business at all times. The Manchester Security event has consistently provided essential advice on all aspects of security over the past twelve years and continues to be a great success.”

The event was organised in partnership with Manchester City Centre Crime Prevention Panel, Manchester City Council, Manchester City Centre Management Company and Manchester Chamber of Commerce. Next year’s event will be held on 8th April 2008 at New Century House.
