Robert Halfon

Biography:

Robert Halfon was re-elected as Conservative MP for Harlow on May 7th 2015 with 21623 votes, taking 48.9% of the vote.

While he was brought up down the road in North London, his relative owned John Walton Clothes Shop that was in Harlow Town Centre for many years and was opened by Arthur Askey in the 1950s. Between 2014-2015 he was Parliamentary Private Secretary to the Chancellor of the Exchequer. After his re-election in 2015 he was appointed Deputy Chairman of the Conservative Party and Minister without Portfolio.

Prior to his political career, he has been a political consultant, chief of staff to Oliver Letwin and an advisor to the Centre for Social Justice. He has also been a school governor and patron of a homeless centre.
