Every day too many people are needlessly injured because others did not take, or could not be bothered to take, proper care.

Their lives can be completely shattered through no fault of their own.

The Association of Personal Injury Lawyers, or APIL for short, believes these people have a right to get their lives back on track, and quickly.

We are a not-for-profit organisation that has been fighting for the rights of injured people for more than 25 years.

We believe in the importance of preventing needless injury. But when such injuries do occur, people have the right to seek justice, care and fair compensation. We believe passionately in that right.

We promote the interests of injured people and campaign for reform wherever it is needed, working with parliamentarians from all parties across all UK jurisdictions,  like-minded organisations and charities.

APIL believes that injured people deserve nothing less than a high quality service, so we run accreditation and training schemes for our member lawyers to ensure they are the best they can be.

But seeking redress is not just about financial compensation. Rehabilitation and care are crucial, but not routinely available. So we are promoting greater collaboration from all concerned to help people get better more quickly.

We are committed to this … as part of our ongoing fight for the rights of injured people.
