Tulip Siddiq

Biography:

Tulip Siddiq was elected MP for Hampstead and Kilburn on May 7th 2015 with 23977 votes, taking 44.4% of the vote.

Tulip joined the Labour party when she was 16. She has worked for Amnesty International, the Greater London Authority, political consultancy at Philip Gould Associates, Save the Children, and Brunswick; she worked on Ed Miliband’s campaign to be leader of the Labour Party and, in 2008, she campaigned for Barack Obama in the U.S.

‘<' . strtolower('Array')>Tulip was born in Mitcham, London, but from the age of 5 she travelled across the world. In 1998, she moved to North London and gained four A-levels, before completing her undergraduate degree in English Literature at University College London and then a Master’s degree at King’s College London. In September 2011, she completed a second Master’s degree in Politics, Policy and Government, writing her dissertation on Local Government.
