Tom Pursglove

Biography:

Tom Pursglove was elected MP for Corby on May 7th 2015 with 24023 votes, taking 42.8% of the vote.

Tom is an experienced campaigner. Within the past years, he has led the Conservative campaigns for free local car parking, for the Rushden Lakes development at Skew Bridge and for the charge against unwanted overdevelopment. He has also been the director of Together Against Wind, the national anti-wind farm campaign, that demanded to the government a changing in the policy related to wind farms. Tom has worked alongside different elected MPs. He has been part of the team which saw Peter Bone MP’s majority increasing hugely at the 2010 general election, and has worked as a Parliamentary Assistant to Chris Heaton Harris MP. In 2013 Tom launched the ‘Listening to Corby & East Northamptonshire Campaign’, a mean that allowed him to get closer to the citizens of Corby and better understand the issues that matter to local people.

Born in 1988, Tom graduated from Queen Mary College, University of London.
