Roger Williams

Biography:

Roger Williams was re-elected MP for Brecon and Radnorshire in May 2010 with a majority of 3,747 votes.

Roger has been the Liberal Democrat MP for Brecon & Radnorshire since 2001 and is the Liberal Democrat’s Shadow Secretary of State for Wales and Liberal Democrat spokesperson for Food and Rural Affairs.

Roger read natural sciences at Selwyn College, Cambridge. After graduating in 1969 he became and remains a livestock farmer. Roger was a Powys County Councillor for 20 years. His public career has also included posts with the Training and Enterprise Council for Powys and Mid-Wales, the European Centre for Wales in Brussels, Chairman of Brecon Beacon National Park, Board Member for the Development Board for Rural Wales and Chairman of Brecon and Radnor NFU.
