Robin Walker

Biography:

Robin Walker was re-elected as Conservative MP for Worcester on May 7th 2015 with 22534 votes, taking 45.3% of the vote.

Born in 1978, he grew up in Worcestershire.

After gaining a scholarship in Ancient and Modern History from Balliol College, Oxford, he set up his own business on leaving university.

From 2003 to 2010 he pursued a career in business, working his way up from executive to partner at Finsbury Group working on communications with the press and the financial community.

Prior to his campaign in Worcester Robin worked in three elections, supporting then Secretary of State for Health, Stephen Dorrell in 1997, Richard Adams, the Conservative Candidate for Worcester in 2001 and working as press officer for Oliver Letwin, then Shadow Chancellor, in 2005.

In 2014 Robin was described by The Independent as “the hugely likeable Tory MP for Worcester”, after that a Labour MP commented “if the Tories were full of people like Robin, they would win every general election”.
