Robert Flello

Biography:

Rob Flello was re-elected MP for Stoke-on-Trent South on May 7th 2015 with 15319 votes, taking 39.2% of the vote.

Rob was born on the 14th January 1966 and went to Bournville Junior & Infants Schools before attending King’s Norton Boys’ School in Birmingham.

He then attended University College of North Wales, Bangor to study Chemistry.

He has held many positions within the Labour Party and is also a member of the Co-operative Party, UNITE (Transport and General Workers Union & Amicus Sections), USDAW and UNITY Unions.

Before becoming an MP, Rob helped run a Children’s Charity and worked for 16 years as a Taxation and Finance Accountant. He has also been a Birmingham City Councillor for the Longbridge area.

In Rob’s spare time he enjoys running, reading and riding his motorbike. He has run the London Marathon in aid of two children’s charities and has starred in an amateur theatre production.

In the House of Commons, Rob is Parliamentary Private Secretary (PPS) to the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, Hazel Blears and was a member of the Science and Technology Committee, the Finance and Services Committee and the Transport Committee.
