Peter Bottomley

Biography:

Peter Bottomley was re-elected as MP for Worthing West on May 7th 2015 with 26124 votes, taking 51.5% of the vote.

Peter Bottomley was educated at a mixed comprehensive school in Washington DC, Westminster School and Trinity College, Cambridge. He is married with three children.

He has been Chairman of the Church of England Children’s Society, a Trustee of Christian Aid and founded the Family Forum. He has been a member of the Child Poverty Action Group and the Transport House branch of the Transport and General Worker’s Union.

He is Vice President of the Disabled Driver’s Association, a member of the Council of Europe (Western European group) and sits on the Select Committee on the Lord Chancellor’s Department.

Before been elected MP for Worthington West, he was MP for Eltham (1983-1997).
