Owen Thompson


Owen Thompson was elected MP for Midlothian on May 7th 2015 with 24453 votes, taking 50.6% of the vote.

Owen was elected to the Midlothian Council when he was 27, becoming Scotland’s youngest councillor at the time. He was re-elected in 2007 and 2012, and became leader of the council in 2013, succeeding his party colleague Bob Constable.

Owen studied Accounting and Finance at Edinburgh Napier University.
