Matthew Pennycook

Biography:

Matthew Pennycook was elected MP for Greenwich & Woolwich on May 7th 2015 with 24384 votes, taking 52.2% of the vote.

Matthew has been selected as candidate for the 2015 election in 2013, after that Nick Raynsford MP announced his retirement. Matthew has joined the Labour Party in 2002 aiming to make the society he lives in fairer and more equal, with affordable childcare, workplace rights and better housing guaranteed for everybody.

Matthew, born and bred in South London, has written multiple articles for The Guardian, where he gave voice about his ideas regarding the necessity of a living wage in Britain.
