Mark Pritchard

Biography:

Mark Pritchard was re-elected MP for The Wrekin on May 7th 2015 with 22579 votes, taking 49.7% of the vote.

Mark has represented the new Wrekin parliamentary seat since the May 2005 general election.

Mark is very active as a constituency MP leading several local high profile campaigns. He is also active in Parliament serving on a range of committees including the Work & Pensions Select Committee and the Welsh Affairs Select Committee. He also served on the Environmental Audit Select Committee between 2005-07.

Mark is also Joint Secretary of the Conservative Foreign Affairs Committee and Secretary of the Conservative Defence Committee. He is also Secretary of the All Party Group for Conservation and Wildlife.

He enjoys taking long walks with the family miniature schnauzers ‘Pebbles’ and ‘Dillon’ ; watching cricket, skiing . He is a member of the Miniature Schnauzer Club of Great Britain.

Mark has a particular interest in defence, rural issues; foreign affairs; standing up for British culture, heritage and traditions; and animal welfare issues.
