Biography:
Madeleine Moon was re-elected MP for Bridgend on May 7th 2015 with 14624 votes, taking 37.1% of the vote.
She has been the MP for the Bridgend Constituency since 2005, when she succeeded Win Griffiths after he announced his retirement.
Madeleine was Parliamentary Private Secretary (PPS) to Lord Drayson, Minister for Science in the Department for Science, Innovation and Skills.
In 2007 and 2008 Madeleine received a higher public profile due to an increased number of suicides of young people from her constituency: following an investigation, she agreed with South Wales Police that the suicides were not connected, and was critical of media coverage.
