Biography:
Kelly Tolhurst was elected MP for Rochester & Strood on May 7th 2015 with 23142 votes, taking 44.1% of the vote.
Kelly first got involved in local politics after campaigning with residents to stop Borstal Recreation Ground from being lost to development, and since 2011 she have represented Rochester West as a member of Medway Council. Her six-point plan to secure a better future for Rochester and Strood consists in: take a real action on immigration; safer streets; housing development that works for us; the new jobs and infrastructure our community needs; better local schools; and a commitment to get Medway Hospital out of Special Measures as soon as possible. Kelly was born in Rochester as a daughter of a local boat builder. She ran a marine survey business before being elected to Parliament.
