Karin Smyth

Biography:

Karin Smyth was elected MP for Bristol South on May 7th 2015 with 19505 votes, taking 38.4% of the vote.

In 1997 Karin established the office and staff team for Valerie Davey MP. During the years, she has worked as a manager with NHS Bristol Clinical Commissioning Group and has been involved in different organisations – such as Bristol Deaf Centre covering the role of trustee and St Thomas More the Secondary School as a governor.

Born in 1964, she joined the Labour Party in 1985 and is an Unison member.
