Justine Greening

Biography:

Justine Greening was re-elected MP for Putney on May 7th 2015 with 23018 votes, taking 53.8% of the vote.

Justine lives in West Hill in Putney. Born in 1969 in Rotherham, South Yorkshire, Justine attended her local comprehensive school, before studying economics at Southampton University. She has an MBA from the London Business School and is a Finance Manager at Centrica plc.

Justine is also a school governor at Hotham Primary school in Putney.

Justine has experience of local government – serving as a local councillor in Epping, and as Vice Chair of the Finance Committee.

She fought Ealing Acton & Shepherds Bush at the last General Election.

She was elected as the Member of Parliament for Putney in May 2005. In December 2005, she was appointed as a Vice Chairman of the Conservative Party, with responsibility for youth.

In July 2007, Justine was appointed as a Shadow Minister for the Treasury. In January 2009, Justine was appointed Shadow Minister for Communities and Local Government by David Cameron. She was appointed economic secretary in the Treasury after the formation of the coalition.

David Cameron appointed Justine Economic Secretary to the Treasury in May 2010, and became Secretary of State for Transport on 14 October 2011. On September 2012, she was replaced by Patrick McLoughlin at the Department of Transport, and became Secretary of State for International Development, a office she is still holding.
