Jessica Lee

Biography:

Jessica Lee was elected as Conservative MP for Erewash on May 6th 2010 with a majority of 2,501.

Born in Nottingham in 1976, Jessica read history & politics at Royal Holloway, University of London. She was Chairman of the Conservative Association whilst at university. Jessica went on to study law and was called to the Bar in 2000. Jessica worked as a barrister, specialising in family law.

Jessica worked on the ‘Breakdown Britain’ Report by the Centre for Social Justice, Jessica also contributed to the 2007 Commission into Social Work review.

Jessica lives with her family in Erewash. Jessica has campaigned in numerous elections in the East Midlands and in London, including as a Lambeth Council candidate on three occasions, including a by-election.

Jessica has played a role in the voluntary side of the party over the years, from being branch officer to Association Chairman. Jessica was a Conservative Candidate in the 2005 General Election, standing in the constituency of Camberwell & Peckham, against Harriet Harman.
