Jake Berry

Biography:

Jake Berry is the Conservative MP for Rossendale and Darwen, elected on May 7th 2015 with 22847 votes, taking 46.6% of the vote.

Jake was born in Liverpool in 1978 and went to school in the city. Jake studied law at Sheffield University followed by Chester College for his Law Society Finals. Jake trained as a solicitor in the City of London and shortly after qualification moved back to the North West of England to work for a law firm in Manchester.

Jake’s area of expertise is Commercial Property with a focus on Social Housing, PFI and Development Law.

Jake is also a shareholder of Tung Sing Housing Association.

Jake lives with his wife Charlotte.

Jake has fought two local elections as a candidate in Liverpool and Manchester. Jake was also the Election Agent for the Liverpool City Seats Initiative in the 2005 General Election. Since being elected as Member of Parliament for Rossendale and Darwen, Jake has campaigned on supporting local shops and post offices and the introduction of new transport links to the area.

His areas of special interest include Social Housing and supporting Business and Enterprise.
