Helen Whately


Helen Whately was elected MP for Faversham & Mid Kent on May 7th 2015 with 24895 votes, taking 54.4% of the vote.

Prior to running as an MP, Helen has worked both with NHS hospitals – helping them to improve care and exploit their resources – and at AOL Time Warner. She also co-operated with several charities as a volunteer and advisor. In 2010 Helen stood for parliament in Kingston & Surbiton, gaining a Conservative swing of 2.4%.

Helen grew up in Surrey and studied in London and read Politics and Philosophy at Oxford University.
