Helen Jones

Biography:

Helen Jones was re-elected MP for Warrington North on May 7th 2015 with 21720 votes, taking 47.8% of the vote.

Jones served as a member of the House of Commons select committees on Catering, Public Administration and Education and Employment. She also served on the Standing Orders Committee and the Unopposed Bills (Panel). She was also a member of Labour Party backbench committees on Home Affairs, Education and Employment, Health and International Development. She served on the all-party groups on Child Abduction and CAFOD. From June 2007 to October 2008, she served as Parliamentary Private Secretary to Dawn Primarolo MP, Minister of State for Health.

In the cabinet reshuffle of October 2008, Helen Jones was promoted to a junior Government role in the position of Assistant Government Whip. Between 2009-2010 she was Vice-Chamberlain of the Household.
