Grahame Morris

Biography:

Grahame Morris was re-elected as Labour MP for Easington on May 7th 2015 with 21132 votes, taking 61.0% of the vote.

Grahame is married with two sons and lives in Dawdon in Seaham.

Having spent his early career in the NHS, Grahame began working with John Cummings, MP in 1987 and has served as a Labour Member of Easington District Council for fifteen years.

In 2000, Grahame was appointed Parliamentary Officer for the National Association of Councillors.

His local priorities are youth issues, addressing health inequalities, driving forward economic regeneration initiatives, tackling anti-social behaviour and attending to the needs of local communities in Easington.

He was recently elected Vice Chair of the East Durham Area Action Partnership representing the public and community sector.
