Francie Molloy

Biography:

Francie Molloy was re-elected MP for Mid Ulster on May 7th 2015 with 19935 votes, taking 48.7% of the vote.

Francie is a politician with almost twenty years of experience. In 1996 he was elected to the Northern Ireland Forum to represent Mid Ulster. Two years later he became a member of the Northern Ireland Assembly for Mid Ulster, and there he covered the role of Principal Deputy Speaker from 2011 to 2013. On March 7th 2013 he was elected MP for Mid Ulster for the first time. Francie was temporarily suspended from Sinn Fein in 2005 as he publicly disagreed with the party policy of eliminating many district councils, including the Dungannon Council of which he was a member.

Born in 1950, Francie has been an activist since the 1960s.
