Edward Argar

Biography:

Edward Argar was elected MP for Charnwood on May 7th 2015 with 28384 votes, taking 54.3% of the vote.

Edward became a Conservative member of Westminster City Council in 2006 and a cabinet member in 2008. Between 2011 and 2015 Edward worked as a Press Secretary for Shadow Foreign Secretary Lord Ancram. In 2012 he contested the council leadership, but lost to Philippa Roe.

Edward was born in Ashford in 1977, but now live in Syston, Charnwood. In the past years, while playing an active role in serving his community as a school governor, a trustee and a member of charity organisations, Edward worked also for private sector businesses.
