Biography:
David Rutley was elected as Conservative MP for Macclesfield on May 7th 2015 with 26063 votes, taking 52.5% of the vote.
David is married to Rachel and they have four young children.
He has spent most of his career in business and has been a senior executive in companies like Asda (where he ran the Home Shopping and E-commerce business) and PepsiCo International, and, in recent years, Halifax General Insurance and Barclays.
He has also worked as a Special Adviser in the last Conservative Government at the Treasury, the Cabinet Office and the Ministry of Agriculture.
He was also a Parliamentary Candidate in St Albans.
He has established a charity for disadvantaged children and organises action projects to support a number of charities, most recently helping adults with learning difficulties.
