Dave Watts


Dave Watts was re-elected MP for St Helens North in May 2010 with a majority of 13,101 votes.

He went to Huyton Hey Secondary Modern School on Seel Road in Huyton. He had previously been leader of St Helens Metropolitan Borough Council for four years. He was the shop steward of a United Biscuits factory on Binns Road in Huyton.

He is an opposition whip and a member on the foreign affairs 2010-12, administration 2010- and arms export controls 2011-12 committees.

He married Avril Davies in 1972. They have two sons.
