Chris Stephens

Biography:

Chris Stephens was elected MP for Glasgow South West on May 7th 2015 with 23388 votes, taking 57.2% of the vote.

Chris, who joined the Scottish National Party when he was 16, is the secretary of the SNP Trade Union Group and a member of the National Executive Committee of the SNP. In the past, he contested the Glasgow Pollok constituency at the 2007 and 2011 Scottish Parliament elections. In 2014 he was shortlisted as one of the SNP candidates for the 2014 European Parliament election, but fail to be elected.

Stephens was born in Glasgow and was educated at Trinity High School in Renfrew.
