Brendan O’Hara

Biography:

Brendan O’Hara was elected MP for Argyll & Bute on May 7th 2015 with 22959 votes, taking 44.3% of the vote.

Brendan is not only a politician: in fact, he has also had a successful career as a TV producer. He wrote, produced and directed the “Road To Referendum” documentary series, which was broadcast on STV in 2013 and was subsequently nominated for a BAFTA Scotland award in the Current Affairs category. He has worked for STV, Sky Sports and the BBC.

Brendan has stood as a candidate twice before being elected in 2015: he contested Glasgow Springburn at the United Kingdom general election in 1987 and in Glasgow Central at the United Kingdom general election in 1992.’<' . strtolower('Array')>

Brendan was educated at St. Andrew’s Secondary, Carntyne, and attended Strathclyde University from where he graduated with a degree in Economic History and Modern History.
