Ben Wallace

Biography:

Ben Wallace was re-elected MP for Wyre and Preston North on May 7th 2015 with 26582 votes, taking 53.2% of the vote.

Ben has been Member of the Scottish Parliament for North East Scotland between 1999 and 2003. David Cameron appointed him Government Whip in 2014 and maintained that role until 12 May 2015, when he became Parliamentary Under Secretary of State Northern Ireland Office.

Before entering politics he served for eight years in the Scots Guards and was Overseas Director of QinetiQ (Europe’s biggest Research technology Organisation).

Most recently Mr Wallace won The Spectator Campaigner of the Year Award 2008 for his stance on transparency and expenses in the House of Commons.

Mr Wallace is married with two children. He enjoys skiing, sailing and rugby. In 2007 he was made a member of the Queen’s Bodyguard for Scotland.
