Anne McLaughlin

Biography:

Anne McLaughlin was elected MP for Glasgow North East on May 7th 2015 with 21976 votes, taking 58.1% of the vote.

Anne joined the SNP more than twenty years ago, covering various roles from Campaign Co-ordinator for the Glasgow East by-election to Director of the pro-independence ‘Business for Scotland’. She has also been a political advisor to Bob Doris MSP.

Born in 1966, Anne is from Greenock, but has lived for many years in Glasgow. She is deeply committed to International Development and she spent three months volunteering in post-tsunami Sri Lanka in 2008.
