Biography:
Amber was at University in Edinburgh where she studied history.
She then joined an American investment bank and worked in New York and London, before moving into venture capital.
Professionally, she then moved into specialising in recruitment and started writing for financial publications small companies, financing and recruitment.
She moved to Hastings in 2007 and continued with her writing and freelance recruitment business until the election of May 2010. In 2015, after her re-election, she was appointed Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change by PM Cameron.
