Alec Shelbrooke

Biography:

Alec Shelbrooke was re-elected as Conservative MP for Elmet and Rothwell on May 7th 2015 with 27978 votes, taking 48.4% of the vote.

Alec spent six years as a Leeds City Councillor for the Harewood Ward.

Alec was born in 1976 and was educated at Gravesham Comprehensive High School.

Alec studied Mechanical Engineering at Brunel University where he graduated with honours in 1998. He has since then established a career in project management and moved to Micklefield in 1999 to take up a job with the University of Leeds.

Alec takes a keen interest in Foreign Affairs, Transport, Energy and Higher Education.
