Alan Brown

Biography:

Alan Brown was elected MP for Kilmarnock & Loudoun on May 7th 2015 with 30000 votes, taking 55.7% of the vote.

Alan is a senior figure in the SNP. He was first elected as a SNP councillor in the East Ayrshire Council election in 2007 for the Irvine Valley ward and re-elected in the East Ayrshire Council election in 2012.

Born and bred in Kilmarnock, Alan attended Glasgow University where he graduated with an Honours Degree in Civil Engineering. Prior to his election, he worked as a civil engineer.
