BASC strengthens Northern Ireland team

BASC Northern Ireland has appointed longstanding volunteer Jonny Orr to its team based in Lisburn.

Jonny, who was until his appointment a member of the BASC NI Advisory Committee, has been working with BASC NI as a volunteer for over 17 years.

He is well known throughout the Northern Ireland shooting community and his main interests include deer stalking, pest control, full bore target shooting, rough shooting and air rifles.

He is also a qualified NRA Range Conducting Officer and the Chief Range Officer within his local rifle and pistol club.

Tommy Mayne, BASC NI director, said: “We are absolutely delighted to welcome Jonny to the team. His knowledge and experience of shooting here in Northern Ireland will prove invaluable to both us and our members.”

Oliver McCullough, BASC council member and chair of the BASC NI Advisory Committee, said: “Having had Jonny as a member of the NI Committee for the past year and also working with him as a volunteer, I have every confidence that he will be a great benefit to both the NI team and the membership.”
