Community Development Foundation undergoes brand refresh

We have undergone a brand refresh to reflect our refreshed organisational strategy.

Having been a public body up until 2011, CDF re-emerged as a charity and social enterprise and continues to be the leading national organisation in community development.

With nearly 50 years experience of working with communities, we are widening our client base by providing engagement strategies for the private sector and local government, alongside our work for central government.

We have developed a new-look website and a new suite of marketing materials, including annual review, business cards, leaflets and pull-up stands. The project also included the creation of a short animation, which explains in an informal and simple way how the organisation works with clients to supports communities.

The brand refresh began with our annual review, published in October 2013, which saw amends to the organisation’s purpose and key messages to reflect its updated strategy. With a keen focus on entrepreneurialism, CDF is leveraging its national reach into tens of thousands of grassroots community groups to a wider audience for the benefit of communities.

Alison Seabrooke, Chief Executive of CDF, said:

“We are excited about our new look. We felt that CDF needed a modern, enterprising brand to match its refreshed purpose and range of activities.

“We have streamlined our key messages and expanded our service offers to clients, but our purpose of empowering communities where local people are at the centre of change remains our priority”.

About our brand refresh

CDF worked with OnImpact, an independent design agency, to develop the brand refresh, produce designs for new materials and the refreshed website design.

CDF worked with Coop Web to carry out the website development and used Politics.co.uk’s Voiceover service to produce the animation about the organisation.
