BASC Midlands Christmas roadshow

BASC Midlands will host a Christmas roadshow at the Springfield Events Centre, Camelgate, Spalding, Lincolnshire, on Sunday 16th December.

Stands will include countryside trade stands, sporting goods, clothing and accessories, crafts, books, ferreting and stick-making stalls.

Visitors will be able to sample game dishes prepared by chef Ralph Skripek. Ralph’s new book ‘Wild Chef’ will be on sale.

Chris Green, the Cornish Countryman, will answer pigeon shooting queries and will be promoting his new DVD Crow Shooting Secrets Revealed. Wildlife artist and cartoonist Simon Trinder will be at the roadshow and wildfowler and shooting author Phil Gray and fox shooting expert Robert Bucknell will have their latest books for sale.

Liz Lamb, BASC's Midlands regional officer, said: "This year's indoor roadshow promises to be the ideal place to find that last minute Christmas gift and catch up on the season’s activities.  There will be something for everyone, with trade stands for people who shoot and plenty of craft and produce stalls for people looking for general gifts and treats."

People will be able to test their skills or have a lesson with a BASC-accredited coach on a shooting simulator and enter an indoor Laser Trophy Shoot.   BASC coaches will also check people's gunfit, master eye, stance and other shooting issues.

Admission is £5 on the door.  BASC Young Shots and under 13s will get in for free – Young Shots will need to show their membership cards.  The doors will open at 10am and close at 5pm. Members and non-members will all be welcome.

A licensed bar and restaurant will be open all day.  Parking is free. For more information visit www.basc.org.uk or phone Liz Lamb on 01335 324507.
