Unite, Britain's biggest union will broadcast live updates from members taking action to defend their pensions throughout the day on N30 from across the UK.

Follow them at the Unite homepage www.unitetheunion.org from midnight tonight November 30.

Unite members from across the public sector will be able to take a moment to tell the world what is going on at their picket line or rally, or send a message of support to workers taking action throughtout the day on N30.

It will be a vivid record of a historic day for working people the length and breadth of the country.

Three in four Unite members have said `yes' to joining the national day of action on November 30. In Unite's three main aggregate ballots of health, civil service and local authority workers, 75 per cent of Unite members voted in favour of action on a turnout of 31 per cent.

Unite, represents a broad range of occupations within the public sector in the UK and encompasses several professional bodies. Members can be found in the NHS, local government, Ministry of Defence (MoD), further education, government departments and also in not-for-profit organisations where many workers still belong to public sector pension schemes. It encompasses workers ranging from health visitors, pharmacists and blood service staff to local authority refuse collectors and electricians. Unite also represents workers maintaining MoD bases.
