ESRC: Informing civil society – the work of the Third Sector Research Centre
Join the Third Sector Research Centre at the British Library on 14 October 2011 where TSRC will share findings from its wide-ranging research programme on the voluntary, community and social enterprise sectors in the UK. It is a chance to discuss and debate issues with our researchers and help inform our future research agenda.
Over the past three years, TSRC has been grappling with many issues facing the sector including: How has its involvement in service delivery impacted on the sector? Does social enterprise occupy a unique position? How can we measure value and impact? How are community groups responding to new opportunities for empowerment? What do the figures tell us about the social and geographical distribution of third sector organisations and resources?
Join us at the British Library on 14 October 2011 where TSRC will share findings from its wide-ranging research programme on the voluntary, community and social enterprise sectors in the UK. It is a chance to discuss and debate issues with our researchers and help inform our future research agenda.
The event will also include the launch of the ‘Knowledge Portal’. This new resource, created in partnership with the British Library and funded by the Big Lottery Fund, offers free online access to research on the third sector from a range of sources.
This event is free to attend. It is for anyone interested in the development of the sector, and the way research can be used to inform policy and practice.
